2018 CONVENTION CLAJ PUBLISHING WORKSHOP

CLAJ, in partnership with CLA, invites 2018 CLA Convention participants who are graduate students or junior faculty to submit article-length essays for consideration in its second “publication lab”—a special session designed to help participants develop their conference papers, graduate seminar papers, and dissertation chapters into articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Submitters of selected essays will receive on-the-spot feedback on their essays from seasoned scholars in the field. They also will receive a 30-minute 1:1 consultation with their reviewer in Chicago during a closed special session. The CLAJ  Publishing Workshop is part of the journal’s continued mission to nurture and promote cutting-edge scholarship in the field of languages and literatures across the diaspora.

While this special session is limited to 2018 CLA participants, submissions are not limited to CLA 2018 Convention papers.

Interested graduate students and junior faculty should submit 17-25 page essays by March 22, 2018 via this Form.
