University of Denver Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor of Russian

The University of Denver’s Department of Languages and Literatures invites applications for a full-time Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor of Russian. One-year appointment, non-tenure track position with full benefits.  The position may be extended for an additional year, contingent on continued need and funding. Teaching load: eight courses over three quarters, focusing on the first- and second-year Russian curriculum, with the possibility of teaching other courses, depending on program needs.

Minimum requirements:

  • MA in Russian language, linguistics or a related field (e.g. Slavic Studies or Comparative Literature with clear Russian emphasis) by the time of application.
  • Native or near-native level fluency in Russian and English.
  • Experience teaching Russian language at college or university level with proven excellence and effectiveness.
