Ithaca College, Department of English – English Literature Professor
The Department of English at Ithaca College invites applications for a tenure-eligible position in English Literature. Teaching and research interests in poetry, history of the English language, and medieval and ancient literatures highly desirable. The successful candidate will have proven teaching ability, will demonstrate scholarly accomplishment and the potential for future research, and will be committed to efforts to build a diverse and inclusive academic community. The teaching responsibilities are 3/3, and may include advanced courses in the candidate’s specialty, Introduction to Poetry, History of the English Language for undergraduates and MAT graduate students, medieval and ancient literatures, as well as introductory courses of the candidate’s design.
Qualifications: PhD in English or related field in hand by August 1, 2018.
