Ithaca College, Department of English – British Literature of the Long 18th Century/Romanticism Professor

The Department of English at Ithaca College invites applications for a tenure-eligible position in British Literature of the Long 18th Century/Romanticism, with additional research/teaching expertise in Gender Studies. In addition, a subspecialty in poetry is desirable. The successful candidate will have proven teaching ability, will demonstrate scholarly accomplishment and the potential for future research, and will be committed to efforts to build a diverse and inclusive academic community. The teaching responsibilities are 3/3, and may include advanced courses in the Long Eighteenth Century/Romanticism, courses offered in concert with the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, Introduction to Poetry, as well as introductory courses of the candidate’s design.

Qualifications: PhD in English or related field in hand by August 1, 2018
